Is he worried or is he satisfied with life? Is he waiting for someone or is someone waiting for him? Is styrofoam man a restless or is he just standing? Is he thinking about me thinking about him? Gee... styrofoam man, I need to know.

Kayaks in the sea

Today was kayaking day at Changi with 3E4, 3E5 and several other classes from SKSS, courtesy of the Youth Executive Committee of the Sengkang Community Centre.  The day started at 11 am and ended at 730 pm.  By then, night had come and the coach was dark, the kids were making noise and I had conversations with quite a few of the students.  I was transported back.  Now I hear echoes of laughter, sunkissed faces and lots of happy moments shared amongst them all.  The students sure can conjure up heaven.

If we hold on together

If we hold on together

“Don’t lose your way
With each passing day
You’ve come so far
Don’t throw it away
Live believing
Dreams are for weaving
Wonders are waiting to start
Live your story
Faith, hope & glory
Hold to the truth in your heart

If we hold on together
I know our dreams will never die
Dreams see us through to forever
Where clouds roll by
For you and I”

This has been one of the sweetest days of my life.  Thank you for forming the heart and letting me stand amongst you while you all sang this song.  I know now my dream is one worth believing.  You have been angels.

Thank you 3E4 Seng Kang Secondary

Halfway through a monocot lesson, a colleague takes this picture. It was be yourself day. So we decided to half a biology fieldtrip in the school. Found Dischidia and looked at the domatia that was packed with roots and talked about symbiosis, Murraya foetida, Arachis pinto roots with nodules for nitrogen fixation, frightened a particular student with a dead centipede, studied the oil glands of Peperomia pellucida; so on the whole it was a pretty packed lesson.
